Yui comes from the Hamaari people, who settled in the poisonous swamps of a faraway overseas land. During their youth, they traveled the world to learn different kinds healing, but was quickly recalled to their homeland when they got invaded. However, shortly after they joined the fight, they got ambushed by the invaders and was left for dead in the sea.

A Company ship fished him out and saved their life. Upon examining the situation and realizing the death of their family and most of the fighting Hamaari forces, Yui decided to take refuge with the Company and flee towards Mythodea. Due to their background and previous expertise, Yui decided to serve as an Embassy Guard and healer until their debt of honor is repaid.
