Mythodea / Terra Tunnel Entrance Found in Kahl'Hatra
Early this year, reports describing sightings of a strange mist and mysterious lights started to reach the ears of Zweiwasser, Rabensberg and Gorasian nobility. Soon the news of these sightings was spread internally among the baronies of Validar, the Duchess's court and supporters of the Sword Pilgrimage. The Duchess of Validar, her highness Vanadis von Goldrund and the Morningstar Ser Balor the Red then called together an expedition to investigate the findings of these reports.

The expedition med at a base camp on the northern border of Gorasia. Ser Balor, Baron Dagger of East Blackwood, Baron Tarin of Gorasia were among the Validarian leaders present. The reports were presented to those gathered and soon a decision was made to send two expeditionary parties northward toward the location of the source of the reports. There were two paths northward, one ran east along a river tributary of the Mother Stream River while the other ran inland in a northward direction.
Soldiers of Zweiwasser's Drachengard led by Sergent Rika Immenfels joined with a unit of Gorasians took the west-path route while soldiers of the Benedictshaffen Watch led by Consul Tillia De la Rocca, a unit of Embassy Guard from East Blackwood and a group of mages and healers from Zweiwasser and Gorasia took the east-path route north. By the end of the first day the east-path group would be led by Lady Elane from Zweiwasser after Tillia received injuries during a skirmish.
West Group

The West Group dealt mainly with the sludge of swampy terrain during their northerly trek. When finally camp was made that first night a heavy fog had rolled in obscuring their visibility. From the fog the West Group received archery fire. Injuries were sustained during the brief altercation. In the altercation, someone reportedly entered the camp and stole several items from it. Rika Immenfels and Gunner from Gorasia led their men and women into the fog to stop and hopefully capture the attackers. While the raid was stopped no one was captured that first night.
During the next day they came across a group of soldiers from Rebensberg. The Rabensberger allegedly captured thieves and traitors while they were investigating the fog and reported mysteriously lights, just as the others had been doing. With reluctance, the Rabensberger were allowed to accompany those from Zweiwasser and Gorasia further north on their expedition.
East Group

The group that followed the river tributary found the river valley to be flooded by the late afternoon. Tillia ordered scouting parties to find an alternative route. While this lost the East-Path Group time, the scouts did indeed find a way around the flooded region. At the same time they had found that other route they had also found a hill surrounded by a valley of dead wood. The East-Path Group was not spared the fog that the other expedition faced. Soon their route was also obscured further slowing them down and forcing them to make camp there on that hill.
On the hill that first night the East-Path Group set up camp. Sometime after finishing camp, the hill came under attack. This attack was perpetrated by the Black Dynasty which became illuminated when Tendal used his power to create a large blaze of flame where once a small campfire had burned. With the aid of the fire's light, the East Expedition resisted the Black Dynasty Acolytes. The attack had its cost however, near half of the expedition was injured in the fighting including its leader, Tillia De la Rocca. Following Tillia's injury, Lady Elane took over command of the East-Path Group.

The healers of the expedition worked all through the night to save the life of the most injured among them, a young and green soldier of the Embassy Guard, Gaelen who had been shot by a Black Dynasty archer several times during the fighting. The morning after found Gaelen still unconscious but the expedition had to continue.
Lady Elane ordered the East-Path Group North where they came upon the ruins of an old village of the Glut. In the village the remains of those who had lost their lives there during either the previous civil war or after during the forced assimilation of Kahl'Hatra and or the final. sacrifice of the Razash'Dai. A proper funeral pyre was built and last rites were given for the fallen before the expedition moved on once more.
Uniting in the Valley and Discovering the Source
By late that night, both the West-Path and East-Path-Groups had entered the valley where the sightings had been reported. The valley was covered with the thick fog of the day and night before. Through the call of "From the Ashes, Validar!" the two groups found each other and continued onward in the fog. What they found at its source was a cave with ancient stonework within it. The cave itself still held the power of Terra strong within its roots.
Reports were delivered back to the expedition base camp. The reports were then interpreted by the Validarian leaders present and it was determined that what had been found was likely a Terra Tunnel entrance. The gate was as yet not active so, Validarian leadership sent messengers to Stordan von Zackenberg, the new and current Malaka'Re of the tunnel and root system. Stordan agreed to open the gate and made alteration to his scheduled to open the gate before the spring campaign to Anchor the Ignis Temple in the lands still under the occupation of the Black Dynasty west of Validar.
Terra Tunnel Entrance, Validar
Stordan, with the aid of the Narech'Tuloch, traveled to the expedition forward camp at the Tunnel Cave. There, Stordan performed the rites to open the Terra Tunnel entrance, linking the lands of Kahl'Hatra and Validar to the existing network. This will also likely allow for other forces from around Mitraspera to arrive punctually for the upcoming campaign.
